Ok now I really need to come up with more blogging ideas! There is only about 2 weeks of this semester left and I only have 5 blogs done… alright let me try to make this one over 600 words or so, so that way it will make for 2. But of course I could always post an image… I haven’t done that yet. Well any way I’ll just start this blog out with my opinion with the results of last weeks episode of Deadliest Warrior, SWAT vs GSG-9. All I have to say is “God bless America” since the statistics show that our SWAT is deadlier than the German GSG-9. Now tonights episode will be Atila the Hun vs Alexander the great. This should be a good fight, two powerful warlords fighting to the death. I personally have my money on Alexander the great, mainly due to the fact that he had armor. Though it is true that Atila the Hun was amongst the greatest threats to the Roman Empire, but if one were to taqke a good look at their history, you would know that by the time Atila was born, the Roman Empire was already beginning to fade in power. Alexander was ruling at the hight of the Roman power, when they better weapons better tactics and greater numbers. When Atila was around the Romans where not the impressive chariot riders, with bronze and steel weapons like they were during Alexander’s reign. Instead they had poor armor and simple weapons and mainly consisted of men on foot. And I have alredy seen a seek peak of this prarticular episode, where they tested to see how effective Atila’s axe would be against Alexander’s helment… not even a dent. But don’t get me wrong, Atila has more than enough strength and experience to take down the young Alexander, but either way it should be a good fight indeed. Ugh… now what to blog about? … Oh! Demon Hunter is coming to Springfield next week! Oh crap! I still need to get tickets! To those of you who have not heard of Demon Hunter, they’re amongst the greatest Christian Metal bands around… they’ve really impacted my life spirtually. Because I’ve never been a fan of Gospel music, to me Gospel is a little too light for me and in many cases annoying. It sounds like pre-school music. Sure, its great for little kids but for some one like me who invisions himself a warrior of God or a “wolf of God” (hense my blogger name), I want I little something with a little more intensity, something I could work out to, some thing that will give me a sense of pride and courage. The only kind of Gospel music that I can stand, is when it is in the Cherokee language, the language of my ancestors. Even if it was a children’s song like “Jesus loves me”, if I were to hear it in the Cherokee language it (to me anyway) will sound more powerful and more spiritual. Speaking of the Cherokee language, I’m going to need to get back in to studying it. I only know a few phrases and quite a few words but not enough to speak it in long complete sentenses. And I’m just now getting in to reading it and writing it. Any way I really need to find out how much the tickets are for the Demon Hunter concert, I’ve heard they were about $20 from some people and $40 from others. This is first time they’ve been to Springfield, Missouri (or at least I think it is) and I would like to see them in my home town.

Ok this is my third blog, I’m listining to pow wow music for a little inspiration. Now lets see if I can not only reach my 300 word requirement, but maybe get up to 600 like last time or even better… 900! That would be good. So form most of this blog I’m probably just going to ramble on with random topics. Right now as I type this I’m trying to keep in rhythm with the pow wow drum I’m listening to, and it is kinda helping me type faster which is good for somew one like me who is slow at typing. Hey’ I already typed 100 words already! And I’ve been at this for about six minutes or so… which is better than my 20 minutes it would nomally take for me to type what I got down so far. Well any way, one topic I can blog about is the secound season of the hit tv show Deadliest Warrior on Spike. I can wait to see the first episode, saddly I’ll be at my play rehersal tonight which is when the show the starts, but I can just watch it when ever it comes back on or just watch it on Spike.com, but the only problem I have with not being able to see it when it first comes on is the fact that someone who has seen it may end up giving away what happens in the simulation, which in turn dosent make things suspenceful when I finally see it. The first match up for the season is going to be SWAT vs. GSG-9 (the German version of SWAT), and I hope Swat will come out victorious. But then again I don’t know much about GSG-9 and their capabilities, nor do I know that much about SWAT neither… so its kinda hard to say at this point. Well crap… I thought I might be able to come up with 600 words this time like I did last time, but apparently I’m not as inspired as I thought I was. Oh well, maybe after I see the first episode of season 2 might help me with blogs in the future.

Alright, this is something that has been plaguing me over the past 5 years, and I think its time that it should be known to others. Back when I was kid, I had a great facination with big preditors... and two of my most favorite of the north american preditors were the Grey Wolf and the Mountain Lion. I did extensive research on them, and learned much about their behavior. But by the time I was about 13, there was a new show on TV called Animal Face-Off, where they took animals that normally encountered eachother and ran tests to see who would most likely come out on top if they got into a fight to the death. One such episode was Mountain Lion vs. Wolf, of course I knew that the cat would be the likely winner in a one to one fight but since I had done research on both animals for quite some time I knew that wolves often prey apon pumas, so I had a hope that the wolf would still put up an amazing fight. When the simulation of the fight was over and the puma was the winner I was disapointed but what really got me is that the person who was the head of the puma team absolutly rubed the results in the wolf teams face! And that started a chain reaction for me. Soon I began letting loose my anger on the puma, the animal that I once respected. And for a long while I couldn't even think of the cat with out getting pissed off. By the beginning of this year I had finally cooled off and was look at the cat with respect and saw it as a powerful preditor that could only be equaled to its only preditor the wolf. But then I heard of a new game that was going to have realistic behavior amongst the animals including hunting and fighting behavior. I was interested but I wanted to check to make sure that they were indeed accurate with the behavior, and I looked up wolf vs. puma fights. Soon I came upon several blogs on the subject, though I know that blogs are the worst places to gain academic knowledge from I decided to look into it. Sure enough I found about 90% of the bloggers were in favor of the puma, but what really pissed me off was that they were using inaccurate information, exagerated ideas, and uneducated conclusions. Some of these conclusions were a result on one video on youtube of a puma attacking a young wolf (though you don't actually see the wolf die but the way things were going, it probably did). And so nearly everybody who saw this jumped to the conclusion that this would ALWAYS be the result in this situation. And the bloggers who aproved of this idea quoted "the puma will win, hands down", "wolves are cowardly animals and are no match for a puma", and "pumas prey on wolves, get over it!" I became greatly upset again. "Was all my past knowledge a lie?" I thought to my self, then I did more research on the subject from books and conservation websites... they told me the very oposite, "wolves prey on moutain lions... wolves often kill mountain lions... though the cat has more of an advantage in a one on one fight, mountain lions try to stay as far away from wolves as possible". Also I found a picture that was taken in Montana of a large male puma that was killed by wolves, more specifically by a large male wolf who had become the Alpha of the pack. The people who took the picture stated that the wolf pack and the puma kept their distance from eachother until a black male wolf who was not from the area became the Alpha of the pack and put a hit out on the cat. And any wolf biologist will tell you that even though wolves hunt in packs, it is the Alpha that dose most of the killing. So I was a little happy again, until some bloggers found the picture and claimed that it was "A FLUKE". That finally made me come to the conclusion that most of these puma supporters are a bunch of uneducated doosh-bag kids that always think every thing is one sided. And apperently they have some sort of grudge agaist wolves, for they continue to over exagerate the cat's capablities and practically imortalize it as a demigod and put the wolf down as cowardly weak puppies that are a disgrace to all preditors. Wolves and pumas in reality are equally matched preditors, sometimes the cat will win in a fight, sometimes the wolf will win. Both will attack eachother over food but wont try to make eachother food. National Geographic states that wolves reduce the population of pumas which are then pushed up into the mountains towards their normal habitat, but other wise both animals coexist with out killing one another. And just recently I saw a video of a single wolf chasing a mountain lion away from its kill even after the cat swiped at its head a few times. So in my conclution, the cat statisically has the advantage over a lone wolf but the wolf has the potential to take the cat down. And so I am slowly looking at the cat with respect again, now that I know that all my knoledge was not a lie, pumas are powerful preditors and sometimes kill young wolves but wolves often hunt and kill pumas, but are voerall equally matched preditors.

Well... this is going to be interesting. This is my first blogging assignment (not including the other post that I had done weeks ago), hopefully I'll meet the 300 word requirement that my English teacher wants us to have. Right now I don't think I'll have too much of a problem with the number of words that will hopefully end up in this post. The only real problem is finding the time to do 30 of these blogs, 7 blogs a week! That may not sound like much to someone who has a computer at home, but still living in the stone ages and I don't have Internet... so this means I'm going to have to do a crap-load of work when ever I have access to a computer; with the all the homework, the extra credit, and now these blogs!? Oh well... it is not like I hadn't done things like this before... only this time it involes a computer... F*%# this is going to suck! But hey, I just remembered that I can write these blogs down on a piece of paper, scan them and then put them on a post! Yeah, this could make things much more simple for me! But... then again... I'm going to need to learn how to scan stuff on to a computer... F*%#! Ok the last word of that last sentense make word number 236, maybe... well even if its not I'm sure its pretty close. Yeah, I'm probobly going to do most of these on paper because I only have so much time with a computer for now that I intend to use it for the last of my homework for Theatre class and my extra credit, and it takes me forever to come up with something good to type and have it take up a little more than 5 pages. Although that picture thing that my English teacher suggested dosen't sound like a bad idea. But I need to find out if she dosen't mind us using pictures off the internet or if we need to come up with pictures of our own. Ok I'm pretty sure I've met my requirement for this post, well this wasn't so bad... ok let me see if I can post this the way my teacher wanted us to.
